No shit.

The New York Times writes about the reality of what went on between Georgia and Russia.

there are no coincidence that these things are coming out only after Obama victory. Poor Georgians are now stuck with a Bush Avenue. At least if they just named it American avenue...

We could have gone all the way up to Tiflis, if there wasn't international meddling, in 1994.

I mean, apparently they make mistakes when they think for themselves.

So, why not think for them?

We've always had to govern these dumb-ass Georgians... They like to fight everybody. Even when they are going to get their asses handed back to them.

Ah, well. White man's burden, and all that.

Hah, hah, ha!

There was a Times article the day before about the cluster bombs, which apparently both sides used:

&sq=georgia&st=cse

This snip is interesting:
[...]
In several Georgian villages, researchers from Human Rights Watch found wreckage from Israeli-supplied rockets with bomblets that had been used by Georgia, suggesting a “massive technical failure,” the report said. They were used in strikes and killed at least one civilian and wounded two in fighting in the Georgian towns of Tirdznisi and Shindisi.
[...]
“There were so many duds in these fields that it looked like a catastrophic failure or malfunction,” said Giorgi Gogia, a Georgia-based researcher for Human Rights Watch, who worked on the report.

So they paid huge amounts of money for Israeli bombs that not only they shouldn't have had, but didn't even work right?? Or didn't they read the instructions???
